Enrolment procedures

COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING:

•Application-for-admission form
•Debit-order instruction form (if applicable)
•Aftercare application form (if applicable)

PLEASE NOTE: It is important to complete the application-for-admission form fully and to attach ALL the necessary supporting documents, including proof of payment of the registration fees.

PLEASE NOTE: A learner must benefit from Meridian’s curriculum and it is therefore necessary to assess each application for admission. Applicants are assessed according to the normal entry requirements and, if necessary, personal interviews are requested. Meridian independent schools do not make provision for learners with special educational needs, but a slow learner should not necessarily be regarded as having special educational needs. Such a learner’s admission is considered after an interview has been conducted and admission tests have been completed. In Grade 9 and Grade 10 only learners with academic merit and a good behavioural reference will be considered for entrance.

PLEASE NOTE: We adhere to the South African Schools Act, number 84 of 1996, to determine age requirements for admissions. Learners applying for admission may not be younger or two years older than the appropriate age in each grade.

WHAT HAPPENS NOW?

The application for admission will be assessed. Should the learner be accepted, all relevant details will be loaded on the Curro database at which time an electronic invoice for the registration fee (R550) will be emailed to the account holder. Prompt payment will confirm the learner’s acceptance. If you have already paid the registration fee, this invoice should be ignored. Curro does not issue receipts and you are therefore requested to retain your proof of payment for future reference.

PLEASE NOTE: Upon receipt of the invoice for the registration fee, you will receive a FAMILY CODE. Your family code must please be used as reference for all payments and financial correspondence. Your family code will also enable you to successfully log on to My Hub.

No further correspondence will be received from Curro until the school’s executive head has been appointed. All newsletters and relevant information will be published on www.curro.co.za. Please visit the website and Facebook page regularly to stay up to date.
