My name is Kim Jewell and I am an external service provider at Waterstone College. I have been running the dance studio since the school opened its doors and currently offer Modern, Tap, Ballet and hip hop to all pupils at the school.

I am fully qualified through the Association of International Dance Teachers through which pupils do their dance exams. All dance students are entered on a yearly basis into the Open dance festival held at Mondeor High school. Once pupils reach a certain level through being placed/graded at various competitions they are entered and compete in the competitions run by the South African Body of Dance, it is through this association that 7 Waterstone dancers qualified to represent south Africa at the International Dance Organisation World Championships in Germany at the end of 2015.

It is my belief that dancing is not only a fun way to exercise, it is a skill that can be learnt as a potential career and assists in helping gross motor skills, confidence, memory skills and develops a healthy ,positive disciplined attitude.
