A PROJECTS THAT WILL RUN THROUGHOUT THE YEAR
1.FEED A CHILD HEADED HOME
This is a new, exciting initiative! We are looking for 50 Waterstone families who will commit to donating 8 grocery hampers a year for child headed homes in our community.
A basic grocery list will be given to you and you will be asked to drop off the hamper at Mrs A’s classroom.
Hampers should cost in the region of R200 per hamper.
On weekday mornings, moms from Waterstone go to Lerato School to help children to learn to read.
This programme started last year and we are excited about the possibilities that lie ahead this year.
On Thursdays we ask children to bring an extra peanut butter or jam sandwich to school for the feeding scheme that we run at Elethu Themba School. Our moms also butter and deliver bread on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. One week in November, we will ask for donations of cupcakes to be given out with the bread.
