 Soccer

The soccer at Curro College Hazeldean has grown tremendously over the past 2 years. We were privileged to have started originally, with not only two boys team and a girls team as well. It has been a pleasure to work with these girls and boys as their performance from the beginning has been of the utmost best. Last year the boys played in the PPSSSL (Pretoria Private Secondary Soccer School League) and did exceptionally well. We are most definitely looking forward to this year's season in the PPSSSL. The boys also took part in the 1st Annual Inter-Curro Soccer Tournament hosted by Curro Thatchfield and finished with a surprising second place.

Our girls on the other hand took us by surprise when they took part in the J. V. W. Girls Development Soccer League and did well for their first ever participation in a girl's soccer league. We are better prepared and ready for this year's season. Both girls and boys teams have started with their pre-season soccer training, in preparation for the third term soccer league.

It is an honour for our learners to be coached by young and well experienced coaches. Coaching the girls, we have Ms. J. Pereira who is a student at Tukkies, studying BSport Science and playing for the Tukkies women’s soccer team. She also has experience in coaching with a Safa D coaching license. At the junior boys we have Mr. T. Thabethe, who has years of coaching experience as he has his own soccer team as well as our school's soccer team. The seniors are coached by D. Seshoka, former Willowridge soccer coach. With years of coaching experience and coaching certificates in not only soccer but cross country as well. Our soccer teams are then organized by Mr. T. Skosana, a young vibrant intern at Curro College Hazeldean with years of personal sports history behind him.

We are proud to say that our soccer is growing year by year and honoured to be part of such a great success. We are also looking forward to what the future holds for our school's teams.

 Sokker

Die meisies se afrigter is me.
