OFFICIAL SCHOOL UNIFORM

Items below may be purchased only from the official supplier.

Boys:

Summer uniform

  • Gingham short-sleeved shirt with school tie.
  • Khaki bermuda trousers/shorts.
  • Prescribed navy-blue belt. 
  • Navy-blue pull-over with Curro logo (optional in summer).
  • Navy-blue bobby socks.
  • Black lace-up shoes (may be bought from any supplier).

Winter uniform

  • Gingham long-sleeved shirts with school tie.
  • Khaki chino trousers/shorts.
  • Prescribed navy-blue belt.
  • Navy-blue long-sleeved jersey with Curro logo (worn only under school blazer, and NEVER on its own). 
  • Navy-blue pull-over with Curro logo (compulsory).
  • Navy-blue Curro blazer (compulsory).
  • Navy-blue bobby socks.
  • Black lace-up shoes (may be bought from any supplier).

 

Girls:

Summer uniform

  • Gingham short-sleeved shirts.
  • Navy-blue skirts.
  • Navy-blue pull-over with Curro logo (optional in summer).
    • Navy-blue anklets.
    • Black lace-up shoes or neat black school shoes with a strap and button or buckle (may be bought from other suppliers).

Winter uniform

  • Gingham long-sleeved shirts with tie.
  • Navy-blue skirts.
  • Navy-blue tights (only the tights provided by the official supplier).
  • Navy-blue long-sleeved jersey with Curro logo (worn only under school blazer, and NEVER on its own). 
  • Navy-blue pull-over with Curro logo (compulsory).
  • Navy-blue Curro blazer (compulsory).
  • Black lace-up shoes or neat black school shoes with a strap and button or buckle (may be bought from other suppliers).

Optional:Curro scarf and gloves.

 

OFFICIAL SPORTSWEAR

Only the prescribed sportswear available from the official supplier may be worn.

Also needed in Physical Education in Grade 8 and 9.

  • White Curro golf shirt.
  • Navy-blue Quantec shorts.
  • Navy-blue Quantec tracksuit.
  • A recognised sports shoe – as neutral as possible.
  • Team sportswear as approved by executive management

 

OUR SCHOOL UNIFORM IN PRACTICE: BOYS

1.         TROUSERS:

  • Only wear the prescribed navy-blue belt with your trousers.
  • Trousers must be of a suitable length.
  • Trousers must be clean and ironed.
  • Trousers should fit properly and should not be dragged down below the hips.

2.         SHOES:

  • Only standard black lace-up shoes, not rivets or the boot type. Shoes must have thin rubber soles.
  • Laces should be laced up and tied appropriately.
  • Shoes have to appear shiny and clean everyday.

3.         SHIRTS:

  • Button shirt all the way to the top.
  • Short-sleeved shirts should be worn in summer and long-sleeved shirts in winter.
  • Longs-sleeved shirts may not be rolled up.
  • Shirts always have to be tucked in.

4.         SOCKS:

  • The official socks should be worn with both types of trousers.
  • Socks must always be pulled up properly.

5.         TIES:

  • Ties have to be tied neatly.
  • The tie must be tied in such a way that it reaches the learner’s trousers.

6.         JERSEYS:

  • Only jerseys with the Curro logo are acceptable.
  • Worn-out jerseys are not allowed.
  • The long-sleeved jersey may be worn only underneath the blazer, and never on its own. 

7.         STEP-OUTS:

  • Trousers, shirt, pull-over and blazer.

8.         HAIR

  • Boys' hair must be neatly styled in a conservative standard cut (no shorter than #4).
  • It must be cut short. Hair that touches the ear is too long.
  • Hair must be neatly combed, not have the bed-head appearance or hang in the eyes. It should not be cut unevenly or be jelled.
  • Hair may not be dyed. No streaks, tints or highlights are permitted.
  • Hair should be clean.
  • Boys should shave every day.
  • Side-burns may reach only halfway down the ear lobe and no moustaches will be allowed.
  • African students are permitted a shorter cut. No plaits, corn rows, dreadlocks or extensions.

9.         JEWELLERY:

  • Watches must be conservative. Designs and colours should be kept simple.
  • No rings, bracelets or bangles are permitted.
  • No earrings.
  • Only medical bracelets are allowed.

 

OUR SCHOOL UNIFORM IN PRACTICE: GIRLS

1.         SKIRTS:

  • A girl’s skirt is the appropriate length when she kneels and the distance between the floor and skirt is no more than
    5 cm.

2.         SHOES:

  • Only standard lace-up shoes or buckled school shoes are permitted.
  • Shoes should be laced up appropriately and buckles should be fastened at all times.
  • Shoes have to appear shiny and clean at all times.

3.         SHIRTS:

  • Short-sleeved shirts should be worn in summer and long-sleeved shirts in winter.
  • Longs-sleeved shirts may not be rolled up.
  • Shirts always have to be tucked in.

4.         SOCKS:

  • Short, prescribed navy-blue anklets in the summer. 
  • Socks have to be folded over.
  • Prescribed navy-blue tights in the winter.

5.         TIES:

  • Ties have to be tied neatly.
  • The tie must be tied in such a way that it reaches the learner’s skirt.

6.         JERSEYS:

  • Only jerseys with the Curro logo are acceptable.
  • Worn-out jerseys are not permitted.
  • The long-sleeved jersey may be worn only underneath the blazer, and never on its own. 

7.         STEP-OUTS:

  • Summer: Short navy-blue anklets, skirt, short-sleeved shirt, pull-over and blazer.
  • Winter: Long navy-blue tights, skirt, long-sleeved shirt, pull-over and blazer.

8.         HAIR:

  • Hair may not be dyed or high-lighted. 
  • Only navy-blue hair accessories allowed for the Grade 8-11 girls.
  • White hair accessories may be worn by the matric girls only.
  • Hair may not hang in the eyes.
  • Long hair should be tied into a ponytail or plait.
  • The fringe should not touch the eyebrows.
  • Hair must be clean.
9.         JEWELLERY:
  • Watches must be conservative. Designs and colours should be kept simple.
  • No rings, bangles or bracelets are permitted.
  • Earrings: only studs (gold or silver) or shorter standard-type earring (gold or silver). Only one per ear and in the bottom piercing.
  • No gems or other stones are permitted.
  • Only medical bracelets are allowed.

10 .      MAKE-UP:

  • Make-up is not allowed.
  • Lip gloss must be colourless.
  • Medicated skin treatment should not be visible.
  • No eye make-up is allowed.
  • Coloured or white nail polish is not allowed, only clear nail hardener.

 

SCHOOL BAGS

Only navy/dark blue bags will be allowed. School bags should preferably have divider sections to support books. Absolutely no writing, pictures, stickers or decorations will be allowed on the outside of school bags. No bags with wheels are allowed.
