Curro Waterfall in collaboration with Meridian Cosmo City decided to initiate a CSI project for 2016 by hosting a Street Store in Cosmo City on Mandela Day, 18 July 2016. It is important that our Curro Schools invest and give back to our communities. We’ve decided for our ‘pop-up store’ to be in Cosmo City as there are a lot of homeless people and shelters in Cosmo City, Khaya Sands and Zandspruit. The shelters are all excited about this venture and will bring 700 homeless to experience a dignified shopping experience.
Curro Castle Waterfall and Meridian Cosmo City will ask for donations for clothes, tinned food and blankets to be dropped-off at their schools. Volunteers will help on the day to assist the homeless with their shopping experience and to keep everybody safe. Convenience stores and other sponsors donated sandwiches, water and covering a lot of other expenses on the day so that the people visiting The Street Store will experience a care free dignified environment on the day.
“You have something the poor don’t: clothes you choose not to wear. Donate them at Curro Castle Waterfall. @TheStreetStore coming soon to @MeridianCosmoCity #TheStreetStore
