Parent Advisory Committee

The Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) is a formal organisation composed of parents, educators and staff that is intended to facilitate parental participation in a school. The role of the Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) is to encourage closer links between home and school. PTAs are best known for their fundraising work, but they have a useful social function too. Fundraising events provide an opportunity for parents, staff and learners to get together.

The objectives of the PAC are as follows:

  • To represent the views of parents
  • To develop a partnership between the school bodies
  • To work as a team and to have a year-plan
  • To help raise funds for the school and the parents association, in consultation with the principal and board of management

If you would like to be on the PAC please send enquiries to info.westbook@curro.co.za
