At Curro we are constantly examining and evaluating our curricula in order to provide a 21st century education to our learners. We are aware of the importance of the three Rs; reading, writing and arithmetic. We have added world-class, best practice into our nursery and primary school phases to ensure learners who “learn to read” and can “read to learn” better than ever before. We also teach them to really think and gain a sound number sense to improve mathematical ability throughout their school careers. We also value the 4Cs and the 2Ms. We have, with our educators, interrogated the 4Cs; communication, collaboration, critical thinking and creativity and we encourage and support our educators to teach these skills in every classroom on a daily basis. In this way we can ensure that we remain part of tomorrow’s world.
Education is about equipping our learners with the skills to make a real difference in the world. The two Ms, motivation and metacognition as 21st century skills, will add to our learners’ ability to flourish in a world which is changing at a very rapid rate.
We believe that, through our unique curriculum and our company values (child friendliness, positive discipline, Christian ethos and values, creative thinking), we are able to nurture our learners into future leaders who will make a real difference in the world.
The CCEE is continuously doing research and is contributing to research to ensure that we are on top of the international trends and that we stay in touch with modern methodologies that optimise the use of technology in our classrooms.
