Curro Nelspruit is a private school based on Christian principles. It is situated in the tranquil hills of The Rest Eco and Nature Estate. Set to open its doors in January 2012, this school will offer classes from the Early Childhood Development Centre (3 months) through to Gr 8 and thereafter incrementally to Gr 12 by 2016. The school will offer the finest educational equipment and facilities that the Lowveld has to offer. The pristine environment sets the tone for holistic education ensuring that all individuals have the opportunity to reach their full potential in all aspects of life. The small classes allow learners to express themselves and to receive individual attention. Curro’s aim is to develop enthusiastic and happy learners who are ecstatic about going to school and who fully participate in all the activities that are offered.
Curro is a rapidly growing brand which has been in existence since 1998 and currently boasts with 12 schools countrywide. Curro’s staff and learners therefore have the opportunity to interact and grow from each other’s experiences and consequently build lifelong relationships.
Curro offers excellent learning to both English and Afrikaans learners and does not discriminate against race, gender or religion. Well qualified and highly trained educators will be appointed to conduct and facilitate classes. Language mediums remain separated up to Gr 9, with the curriculum staying the same for both language groups. Gr 12 learners will have the option to write their IEB (Independent Examinations Board) exams in either Afrikaans or English.
Sport and cultural activities are viewed as key to developing all round balanced individuals. For this reason, Curro provides an extensive extra-curricular programme. Educational specialists and therapists are available on campus. Curro also offers aftercare facilities.
Curro is a JSE listed company and profits generated are directly reinvested into the development of schools, ensuring that learners receive only the best education and outstanding facilities, with no expenses spared. In addition to this, school tuition fees are kept affordable.
The overwhelming interest in Curro Nelspruit indicates the need for a school offering this kind of excellence. With more than 300 learners registered to date, it has become necessary to embark on phase 2 of the building plans, by adding a further 9 classrooms to a rapidly developing campus. Parents wishing to still enrol their children for next year can complete application forms which are available at either The Rest Eco and Nature Estate or click here to download.
There is, however, limited space available in the ECD, Reception and Foundation phases due to classes being almost full.
